Essential Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience working within the Google Cloud ecosystem, including BigQueryDataflow, and other GCP-based data solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
  • Experience with ETL tools (Apache Airflow, dbt).
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and streaming data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to work with the Zoom camera open during shift

About the Role:


We are looking for a Highly-Skilled Data Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure reliable data flow and availability for analytics, reporting, and business insights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Build and optimize data architectures and models for analytics and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, schemas, and governance standards.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and quality across multiple systems and environments.
  • Implement data validation, monitoring, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, lineage, and best practices.
  • Support integration of real-time and batch data processing solutions.


Key Skills and Qualities:
 
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of machine learning pipeline integration.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass a background check as a condition of employment (a consent form will be provided to shortlisted candidates)
  • Willingness to provide an NBI clearance
